There are often subtle differences in design and construction details that separate the residential piece with one that is suitable for use in public settings. People use furniture differently out in the world when compared with at home and good interior design recognises the importance of personal space in these public settings.
So, what do you suppose caused the difference in wear on this bench seat? Did they replace the middle one? Is it people just being polite and needing space? Or is this in the waiting room of a divorce court?
